frequently asked questions

what you need to know

I don't know how to pose.
I get told this ALL THE TIME! I don't expect you to know how to pose. I will be guiding you into poses throughout the shoot, this is part of my job!

Do I need to bring my own outfits?

Due to hygiene reasons, I do ask that you bring your own outfits to your session.

What outfits can I bring? Does it have to be lingerie?
Boudoir photography isn't just about lingerie & lace, I encourage you to get creative & customise your shoot to reflect your own personal style.

Bring along to your session anything you feel confident & sexy in. Whether that is an over-sized knit or jumper, costume, a dressing gown, your partner's work shirt, favourite band or sports tee,... Hell, even a pair of your favourite jeans!

Once you've arrived to your session, we'll lay your clothes on the table & I'll help style each outfit.

Don't forget to bring accessories! Shoes, stay-ups, thigh-high socks, jewellery, etc.

Can I bring props?

Hell yes! I love playing around & getting creative so if you want to bring some props, go for it!

Who will be at my session?

It will just be myself in the room! I do ask that you come alone to your shoot as having a friend or family member watching can be distracting. You can bring your partner to your session if they want to be in some of the photos! I do offer couple boudoir sessions too! Just let me know in advance if you would like to bring your partner.

How do I prepare for my shoot?

I will explain everything you need to know once we have worked out the logistics of your session. I can share some of my top tips with you include hair removal, nails, tanning, what to wear, etc.

Do you offer hair & makeup?

Hair & makeup isn't inclusive in the package cost as most ladies rather book their own hair & makeup or do it themselves. I do encourage looking into a hair & makeup artist if you're not confident doing it yourself. If this is something you need assistance with, let me know & I can recommend some incredible freelance professional hair & makeup artists.

Can you Photoshop my images?

Every single image you'll receive is carefully retouched & edited. The post-production process includes the adjustment of exposure & tones, cropping, removal of background distractions (marks on wall, powerpoints, etc) & natural retouching. If you would like any specific editing done, please let me know in advance.

Will my images be posted online?

I WILL NOT share your images online unless I have your written permission to do so. Due to the nature of the shoot, it is not uncommon for women to ask that their images are kept private. I completely respect this decision. Will we be going through this upon booking.

If you are happy for me to share some of your final images on my photography social media or website, your name does not need to be mentioned.

Do you have a studio?

Not at this point in time. All my boudoir sessions either take place in a private hotel room or an AirBnB within 60 minutes of Adelaide. I have very carefully complied a list of properties that offer plenty of natural light, adequate space & allow boudoir photography on their premises.

It's important to keep in mind that I cannot guarantee a specific space as this is dependent on property/room availability. The overall 'look' of the shoot will vary depending on the property booked during your session. The property set-up, styling, bed frame, curtains, etc, differs from shoot-to-shoot.

Please keep this in mind upon booking.

What happens after the shoot?

To give you a brief run-down: you will have the option of selecting your favourite images from the shoot via a password-protected online gallery. Once the payment has been finalised & I have your final selection, the post-production process will begin.

Your final boudoir images will be ready roughly 2-6 weeks after your receiving your final selection. Exceptions can be made for smaller sessions if you require your digital images sooner. Please let me know when you will need your final images prior to booking & I can confirm whether they will be ready before your deadline.

How do I book you? What happens from here?
It’s very simple! Get in touch using the contact form below, tell me a little about yourself & let me know of any questions or concerns and
I will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

Please keep in mind, I shoot weddings so weekends are limited during warmer months.
